The same night saw a serious escalation, as both nations began violating the ceasefire agreement, exchanging heavy fire along the border. In retaliation to India’s airstrikes, the Pakistan Air Force reportedly shot down five Indian military jets. While Indian officials acknowledged some damage, they refrained from disclosing full details. Meanwhile, local youth in Kashmir claimed to have witnessed and recorded the crash of an Indian jet, sharing the footage on Twitter.
